Jimmy: Press Comments Hurt Tourism

JimmyMAC: I cannot for a second get my head wrapped around why they let this crap (racist comments  on the Coeur d’Alene Press online comments section) continue over there. I mean that for obvious reasons as well as business relations. I talked to my wife about it today. Let’s just say that a large group is planning their conference at the Resort or even considering it as a site. A meeting planner checks out The Press website to see what the town is all about as a reference for the potential corporate visit. I may be overanalyzing this, but I think some of those comments could raise red flags for booking here, especially if they find out about the affiliation between the newspaper and the resort.

Question: Do you think the Hagadone Corporation higher-ups — and even Duane Hagadone himself — know what is allowed in the comments section of Duane’s newspaper?
