Limbaugh would divide GOP

The Spokesman-Review

Some people think that Rush Limbaugh would be a good choice as the Republican Party leader. Although he claims to be a Republican, he tends to be almost as critical of moderate Republicans as he is of Democrats. Conservatives in politics are not comfortable around moderates and liberals, and I believe if they had a chance they would rather have their own party.

Conservatives have an organized hate campaign going on against the Democrats, and I don’t see any possibility of any bipartisan cooperation between them and the Democrats. In a successful democracy you can’t have different parties hating each other. There may be differences of opinion, but they need to work together despite the differences.

Rush Limbaugh may be a possible leader for the more conservative Republicans but surely not a leader for the majority of Republicans.
