Let club groom Nordic center

The Spokesman-Review

What has happened to our Nordic center at Mount Spokane? With outstanding views and miles and miles of trails we should have the finest Nordic center in the Northwest.

But our Nordic center is operated by the state of Washington, and the state is not allowing it to live up to its potential.

Grooming is very important for both types of Nordic skiing. With the state not grooming Tuesdays and Wednesdays, that leaves five days a week at best, but a lot of weeks it’s groomed only three or four days or even less.

If the Spokane Nordic Club would take over the Nordic center it could mean grooming every day and better skiing.
