WSU news on a spring day

COUGARS

An action-packed morning awaits on the World Wide Web, Washington State style. There are stories. There are comments. There are millions and millions of words dedicated to the Cougars. OK, I exaggerate. But there are a few. Read on.

• We started it all last night with a football post and a basketball post . Both of those pieces appeared in today’s Spokesman-Review with the print version of the football story and the basketball feature also available. By the way, we had a stupid typo in today’s story, though you won’t see it on-line now, with one of the quarterback’s names. Sorry.

Now to other sources. First, we’ll look at football. The Seattle P-I, no longer “printing” stories, has this on-line summary of Wulff’s press conference. … Ryan McDivish of the News Tribune advances the Cougars’ spring drills. … Nick Daschel of Buster Sports has a look at how important spring football is to the two Washington schools. … Joe Nickell in the WSU SID’s office has a blog post with a link to the spring prospectus. … In other news, if you want some thoughts about the Pac-10 commissioner-in-waiting, Larry Scott, you can read John McGrath’s column in the News Tribune and Ken Goe’s web post in the Oregonian. If you want a little more background on Scott, check this LA Times’ story … On the basketball front, freelancer Howie Stalwick has this season review in the Kitsap Sun.

• That’s about it for this morning. We’ll be back after practice today with our story. Until then …
