Obama figures don’t add up

The Spokesman-Review

I listened carefully to Mr. Obama on TV. Like nearly all politicians he avoided answering tough questions. Instead, he blathered on about his nonsensical plan to spend our way to prosperity with money we don’t have and likely never will. Independent, nonpartisan sources have looked at his budget proposal and have determined “Obama math” just doesn’t add up. Even members of his own party are questioning the direction he’s trying to take the country.

Mr. Obama has taken double-speak to new heights. He’s going to “cut the deficit in half” but fails to mention how he’s going to triple it first. He fails to mention how the deficit will continue to rise year after year in the out years – even with his own projected optimistic economic growth figures. We will be in debt $20 trillion before he’s through.

It’s time to stop drinking the Kool-Aid. This emperor has no clothes. His current and proposed spending will bankrupt the country. All the “hope” in the world is not going to “change” this cruel fact. Is this the legacy you want to leave for your children and the generations to come? Tell your elected representatives to stop this madness.
