Onus on environmentalists

The Spokesman-Review

It’s time for environmentalists to put up or shut up.

First they say that “big oil” is greedy and destructive.

They don’t want nuclear power because they think that’s too dangerous, and we don’t have a safe way to store the waste.

They fight wind power because it might kill some birds, and solar power in the middle of the Mojave Desert will use too much water.

They have a lot of complaints but no solutions to our energy needs. Time for them to lead, follow or get out of the way.
