Accelerate revenue flow

The Spokesman-Review

It is apparent to me that the state of Washington is missing a great opportunity to raise some serious revenue. After road construction started on I-90 two weeks ago, the speed limit was posted down to 50 mph; it looks like 90 percent of the people in Spokane don’t think it pertains to them.

Any good trooper could make a fortune for the state every morning during rush hour; same for the evening rush. With double the fines for speeding in a construction zone, we could probably pay for the repairs being done. The fines should maybe even be tripled because these people do not seem to care.
