Will GOP seize opportunity?

The Spokesman-Review

“Did the Democrats hear the American voter on Tuesday?” is an empty question. There’s a better chance of Iran accepting Israel than having Pelosi, Reid or Obama listen to the American citizen. Democrats in Congress have shown absolute contempt for the American citizen.

The question to ask is, “Did the Republican leadership hear the American voter?” Did the Republican leaders hear that a majority of Americans want conservative values, the right to individual freedom and prosperity afforded to all Americans as written in the U.S. Constitution and Declaration of Independence? Did they hear that a majority of Americans believe in and strive to protect the right to life and to limit the power and expanse of government?

I hope Michael Steele, Newt Gingrich and other Republican leaders hear the American citizen loud and clear. If Republicans don’t support and provide candidates who believe in conservative values and the Constitution, then American citizens will find candidates with those qualities elsewhere. New York’s 23rd District was a shot over the Republican Party’s bow.
