HBO Poll: Brannon Layoff Fallout

“Is there anybody out there that really believes given the timing of Brannon’s dismissal that it was not done to intentionally humiliate the man and throw him off prior to a debate? Wouldn’t it have been appropriate to fire him during a normal business hours meeting? It seems to me that would have been the decent thing to do? Perhaps even some kind of advance notice that there were problems with expenses and the board was looking his way?
