Cyclocross riders from the Vertical Earth team in Coeur d'alene lead the pack of riders at the beginning of the Men A Category start during the 2009 Inland Northwest Cyclocross Series race at Liberty Lake County Park, Sunday, Oct. 18, 2009. Cyclocross is a form of bicycle racing which consists of many laps on a short course featuring pavement, wooded trails, grass, steep hills and obstacles which require the ride to quickly dismount, carry thier bike while navigating the obstruction and then remounting.
