A memo informing that a new novel adoption process will be developed was sent Tuesday to all district staff from Superintendent Hazel Bauman and Director of Secondary Education Rosie Astorquia. … The note advised that trustees are in favor of a procedural change because the board “does not want to be in the position of having every novel come before them and having to say ‘yea’ or ‘nay.’”
