KCSD: Outage Knocks Out 911 Center

The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Department reports a serious power outage in the Coeur d’Alene area that has impacted the Kootenai County 9-1-1 Center.  The back-up center in Post Falls has taken over emergency communication for the 14 emergency service agencies normally serviced by the County Center. Due to the workload that this causes, non-emergency response to calls for service may be delayed.
