Bloem, Council Deny Brannon Rumor
We understand that sometimes in a heated campaign statements are made that are
exaggerations, uninformed, or blatantly political. However these last two weeks have brought outrageous claims of criminal conduct that attack the integrity of each one of us and each member of the Board of Directors of Habitat for Humanity. We have all been accused of participating in a criminal conspiracy to fire Jim Brannon — conduct that if true would be a felony under state and federal law as well as a violation of the basic code of ethics under which we operate. It is time to state clearly and directly that the claims are absolutely, 100 percent false/Mayor

Question: How will a denial like this, signed by the mayor and all council members, play in the community?
