An early morning WSU post


COUGARS • UPDATED: 12:40 P.M.

Up early this morning to catch WSU’s basketball workout. Coach Ken Bone has to catch a plane to Los Angeles this afternoon for Pac-10 media day, so the Cougars are going at 6. With football and basketball practices conflicting, thought this would be a good day to watch. Now wondering what I was thinking. But I’m up, so I’m headed out the door. Read on.

• UPDATE: Now that I have a few moments, I’ll pass on a note or two along with a link. … On the note side, Nik Koprivica is the Cougar player rep at tomorrow’s Pac-10 media day. But Koprivica is hobbled a little right now at practice with a groin issue. He just did conditioning and light shooting in the morning. … Everyone else seems healthy and all have taken steps in the past week. They are starting to get the idea of what coach Ken Bone is looking for from them. … The Times’ Bud Withers takes a look at what not being on TV means to WSU. … Conference-wise, ESPN.com’s Ted Miller wonders who will be the All-Pac-10 quarterback.
