“Thanks for your e-mail I think we have a misunderstanding we are not banning the Presidents speech but just asking that we notify parents ahead of time. Unfortunately Janet Feiler did send out an erroneous message about parental permission but amended that late Friday. We never believed that seeking parental permission was appropriate but did all agree that parent notification was a good idea so that any family who did not want to participate could let us know and we would provide an alternate activity.
