Care option not mandatory

The Spokesman-Review

If a Medicare-for-all option was passed it would not force anyone who already has health care insurance to switch to it. If you have private coverage and want to continue to pay for it, no one would stop you, nor would you be forced to pay less if the competition created by a government-run program caused the private insurance you pay for to lower its rates.

You could still pay the higher premium if you were so offended that it went down. I am sure that the private insurer would still take your money.
