The Spokesman-Review

I can’t get over the idea that you remove an animal from the endangered species list and instantly people get in line to kill it ASAP. The picture of the man holding a dead wolf in Wednesday’s (Sept. 2) paper is a perfect example of the fanatical stupidity of such an inane change in Idaho’s laws.

Was the man going to eat the wolf because he is hard up and needs the meat, or was this just big-man bravado so he can show his friend the picture and say, “Wow, I shot a dog. Ain’t I cool?”

Well, that wolf is no longer around to propagate and continue its line. Idaho has taken away all the wolf has and all it would ever have. Ain’t they proud? This idea of killing wolves just for the hell of it goes beyond stupidity. And that’s what it is, just plain stupid! When is man going to climb a little higher on the evolutionary ladder?
