BA: Medical Marijuana Raid Sad

This is very sad and a big slap in the face of the law in Washington, which is not made only to be followed in the liberal western counties, but in all the counties. One angle of this story that has not been told is: What does the prosecutor stand to lose, in the wake of legal medipot? Was the time when a prosecutor in another state told me the biggest thing standing in the way of marijuana legalization was the money coming into the courthouse. The police are making lapdogs out of our prosecutors by feeding them money. Everyone gets to play Santa. This prosecutor told me that without marijuana money - cash, cars, homes, land, all the things the state can take from offenders and resell - the county would have to raise taxes. Drug money is running the courthouse. It pays for training, raises, equipment, bonuses, everything. This is the crux of the problem, and I believe the sole reason for the Spokane prosecutor’s opposition to a legal medipot market.

Follow the money, Spokesman Review. How much is there? Who gets it? This story begs for some digging. How much money does the prosecutor stand to lose, of most of the marijuana out there turns out to be medical marijuana - and I believe almost all of it is medical. Pot is good for whatever ails you. So, this is a short leap to full legalization. Then what would the prosecutor lose?
