Goodlander is a leader

The Spokesman-Review

Recently children and parents gathered at the Coeur d’Alene Public Library for a read-in and celebration of Mudgy and Millie’s first birthday. What a joy to see 350-400 silently captivated by a story! Reading is still big in Coeur d’Alene.

It is also the second birthday of our beautiful new city library, and we are still seeing over 1,000 visitors a day. Reading, research and computer use is important to our citizens. We are so grateful to have such a spectacular library.

Much of the credit for this library goes to Councilwoman Deanna Goodlander, who convinced the rest of the City Council to approve the new building and support a bond to fund half of the cost. You the citizens confirmed that was a good decision by a strong yes in the bond election.

Deanna is clearly committed to supporting the needs and desires of the community. Her support of the library is just one example of this. If you are one of the thousands using the library, I encourage you to keep Deanna Goodlander on the council with your vote. She is up for re-election this November.
