Honduras deserves better
Honduras is the Latin American country most friendly to the U.S. Having spent time in the capital, Tegucigalpa, and having shared food with the street people, I am convinced that Honduras is a country worthy of any help we can give.
Recently their president was removed from office because he tried to have himself installed on a permanent basis. His removal was not a coup but a legal, constitutional action taken by the Congress and Supreme Court.
Our president has sided with the Marxist elements in Latin America, with Cuba, Nicaragua and Venezuela, in revoking the visas of Honduras’ president, Supreme Court judges, chief of the armed forces and 1,000 other top-level Honduran officials.
Many local residents have been to Honduras doing mission and humanitarian work and know the truth about Honduras. A president who is against the people of Honduras is no friend of the people of the U.S. Since this action is being ignored, what will come next? Will Obama order troops into this peaceful Latin American country?
Please ask our president to reconsider this act, a serious breach of judgment.
