Eastern Europe betrayed
Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania and the Czech Republic all must be shuddering at this current Obama administration decision not to deploy missile defense in Eastern Europe. With no more than a couple of meetings with Russia’s Medvedev and Putin, they cave in to their request to kill this program.
How does Press Secretary Robert Gibbs believe this actually will enhance security in this region? During World War II, the Soviet Union slaughtered 6,000 Polish officers, blaming it on the Nazis. In the 1950s, urged on by American Radio Free Europe, Hungary rose up, thinking the West would help out, only to be slaughtered by Soviet tanks. These are real reasons that these nations have valid concerns over current Russian policy, as Ukraine and Georgia. This is another example of this administration’s left-wing actions, caving to Russia.
The Eastern European nations above, as Israel, have very valid fears about this administration’s foreign policy direction. I think it is apparent with an administration with so many czars, the next term coming out from this administration will be comrade. Oh, and since I am disagreeing with this policy, I must be part of the unruly mobs.
