DOTC: Commish Debates Civil

Dan of the County (re: county commissioner debates sponsored by local Repubs last week): No real fireworks to report although some of the questions they asked of each other were pretty direct and obviously intended for some discomfort. There was a full house with quite a range of spectators.  …  I don’t think there were any real flubs by the contestants although some were more relaxed and smooth than others. I thought it was a good format except that I don’t think anyone realized that many of the questions they had for each other were repeated by other candidates.  There were a few main themes that came up repeatedly:  the comp plan and why it taking so long, thoughts of optional forms of county government, what to do about jail overcrowding, and how about those dumpster sites.

Question: What format would you like to see for debates between/among local candidates for county offices and the Idaho Legislature?
