Need spending remedy

Are you kidding me? The Washington State Department of Health will use a $97,000 federal grant to investigate the use of potentially deadly folk remedies? (Spokesman-Review article, March 26) With all the whining about budget deficits at local, state and federal levels of government, they found nearly $100,000 to study folk remedies?

I’m thrilled about spending my hard-earned tax dollars for such high priority studies such as this. How about you?
