Otter To Headline Tea Party Event
Organizers
say they’ve got a big name lined up for the Official Tea Party of Spokane’s 1st Anniversary Celebration and Rally this Thursday: Idaho Gov. Butch Otter. The event, which opens Thursday at 3 p.m. on the Floating Stage of the Spokane Convention Center, also features Washington State Rep. Shelly Short, R-Addy. The Tea Party of Spokane, according to its Web site, is “a non-partisan group of thousands of individuals united by our shared frustrations, desires and beliefs. We are people who KNOW our government should serve the will of the people, be fiscally responsible, limited in its authority and reach, supportive of free-market capitalism and individual liberty. … In essence, we seek to restore our constitutional republic by action!”/
