NIC Sentinel Wins More Awards.

The North Idaho College Sentinel has won top honors in the “general excellence” category as well as several other honors in the recent two-year college newspaper division of the Region 10 Society of Professional Journalists Conference in Seattle. Jake Donahue from Portland, Ore., earned first place in the “breaking news” category. Donahue and Eli Francovich from Post Falls placed first in “editorial writing.” Francovich also placed first in “feature writing” and second in “in-depth reporting.” Loren Kelly from Coeur d’Alene placed first in “general columns”/ Stacy Hudson , NIC Press Room. DFO: NIC Sentinel adviser Nils Rosdahl has been mentioning retirement in recent months. I’d hate to be the one who tries to put on his big shoes after he leaves the college.
