Eags move Minnerly to safety

Steve Bergum

Eastern Washington’s football team will hold its second scrimmage of the spring at Woodward Field on Saturday at approximately 12:30 p.m.

And when the hitting starts, Coach Beau Baldwin’s crowded stable of quarterback candidates will be down to six, following Baldwin’s announcement on Friday that sophomore Jeff Minnerly, a former standout at Ferris, has been moved to the defensive side of the football to play safety.

You can read more details on the upcoming scrimmage and Minnerly’s position change here.

And be sure to check back here on Saturday afternoon for an early look at the scrimmage story that will run in Sunday’s S-R.
