Chief showing her worth

The Spokesman-Review

I read with interest the story on April 15 regarding the Spokane Police Guild vote of no confidence against Chief Anne Kirkpatrick.

At first the vote seemed outlandish and irritating, but after giving it some thought it is very enlightening. My interpretation of the vote is that the inmates are no longer running the prison and they don’t like it. The guild has long had too much control of the operation of the department.

Evidently the chief and her leadership team are doing a good job, so now it is up to the City Council to make sure she isn’t hired by some other city.
