• Washington State: Hunker down folks, because there’s plenty to get to … We’ll start with our post last night, which included notes and an unedited version of this story that appeared in today’s S-R. … We then move on to John Blanchette’s column on the fate of Cougar assistant operations director Mike Kramer’s lawsuit against Montana State. … From there we head back to the practice field for freelancer Howie Stalwick’s report from yesterday in Cougfan. Stalwick also had this piece in the News Tribune. … Two pieces that might get you thinking – or laughing – are out there as well, with CougCenter wondering about the fans’ expectations and the WSU football blog wondering whether Paul Wulff has been lifting . … Finally, it’s on to Stillwater, Okla., where the Cowboys have installed a new offense which relies on the running backs to catch passes . The new offensive coordinator, Dana Holgorsen, was at Houston last year and that offense was one of the most potent in the nation.

• Around the Pac-10: The most enlightening piece out there today is Jon Wilner’s College Hotline post , delving into the per-school payouts coming from the conference. This is going to be a big deal over the next couple months as the Pac-10 tries to decide how to divide the Pac-12 in football. A more equitable revenue-sharing plan – currently everything is divided 50/50 except TV – would make it more palatable for the Northwest schools to be in their own division. Without a better solution, everyone will want to play the LA schools. … ESPN.com’s Ted Miller rates the conference’s punters. It may be the deepest position in the Pac-10. … Washington: D’Andre Goodwin hopes to return to his 2008 form. … The safety position is well-manned. At least one is .
