  • 5:17 p.m. Daanen’s Deli/Hayden reports a shoplifter took goods half an hour ago.
  • 5 p.m. KCSD reports re: Post Falls standoff situation: “Due to HIPPA regulations, the name of the woman cannot be released.  The woman’s husband arrived home shortly before the situation was resolved and eventually was able to take custody of the children.”
  • 4:57 p.m. Quick Stop @ 1720 Northwest Blvd/CdA reports customer tried to drive off w/gas muzzle still attached to pump.
  • 4:56 p.m. A transient is asleep or unconscious @ 1028 Fourth/CdA.
  • 4:36 p.m. Officer reports that the .38 snub nose handgun hasn’t been located at the site of the Post Falls standoff.
  • 4:33 p.m. A vehicle has hit a bicyclist @ 930 Emma/CdA.
  • 4:12 p.m. Sounds as though Post Falls standoff has ended peacefully, w/female giving herself up.
  • 4:01 p.m. Officers have contacted female involved in murder-suicide threat in Post Falls. She doesn’t want to leave her house. Seems she is in her son’s upstairs bedroom.

  • 3:46 p.m. Officer sees a dyed-blond female @ n/e window of standoff residence.
  • 3:34 p.m. A Swat team is en route to the Post Falls standoff site.
  • 3:15 p.m. Officer on Centennial Trail reports house is dark, can’t see in, & there’s no vehicles in driveway.
  • 3:14 p.m. Officers have confirmed that there’s a .38 snub nose in house w/female. Also, there are 3 children in house, ages 11, 8, & 5MO.
  • 3:11 p.m. Officers are unable to contact female threatening murder-suicide in Post Falls. They tell dispatch to inform female (if she answers phone) to come out w/hands up.
  • 2:56 p.m. A female who has possibly been drinking is threatening to kill her baby with a .357 magnum 5055 Seltice Way (cross of Cedar)/Post Falls. 2 other young children may be on the scene. Sister reports that she has called 2 or 3 times today to mention the suicide threat and the gun.
  • 2:41 p.m. Female in 5200 block of Nursery & H41is threatening to kill herself and can’t “make it through the night” b/c she is about to lose her home.
  • 2:33 p.m. A motorist suffering an allergic reaction has pulled over @ Hauser Lake & H53.
  • 2:21 p.m. A child has been found wandering alone @ 3850 W. Industrial Loop/CdA.
  • 2:19 p.m. Mike Perry/KHQ, who has just returned from the scene, has an update re: the Silverwood crash shortly after noon. Tweets Mike: “3 kids taken to hospital after rear-end collision near Silverwood. Driver missed entrance, tried to make quick u-turn.” KREM report here.
  • 2:09 p.m. Caller reports that his 13YO son began tearing up the house after his probation office left @ Warren & Jackaloop/Athol.
  • 1:56 p.m. Officer tells dispatcher to tell mother that he’s citing under-age Travis for minor in possession of tobacco.
  • 1:55 p.m. 3 juveniles, 2 males & a female, are panhandling outside the Shell station @ 1501 Sherman/CdA.
  • 1:53 p.m. Caller reports female in blue Caravan is waving her arms out the window & swerving all over road @ Government Way & Canfield/CdA.
  • 1:50 p.m. Caller reports hearing 4 gun shots coming from Fall Street Apartments @ Julia & Maria/Cda.
  • 1:35 p.m. Caller reports that a green-and-white boat is anchored off Sanders Beach in front of the Jewett House. Officer responds that boat can legally do so.
  • 1:12 p.m. Pieces of broken beer bottles are lying near Poleline/H41 i/s/Post Falls.
  • 12:36 p.m. Female reports that male in 2008 Honda tailgated her and ultimately ran her off Seltice Way before entering Taco Bell lot.
  • 12:20 p.m. Motorist reports that vehicle pulling boat turned n/b onto H95 after failing to stop at Huetter inspection section.
  • 12:10 p.m. Caller reports he chased a great dane and a boxer from entering I-90 from H3 (Rose Lake area).
