Court challenger outmatched

Voters should agree with your endorsement of Judge Laurel Siddoway for the Court of Appeals. Not only is she extremely qualified for her current position, her opponent is not qualified for the job.

The Court of Appeals spends nearly all of its time reviewing Superior Court cases. A good appellate judge needs experience in appeals work or in trying a significant number of Superior Court cases. Judge Siddoway has extensive experience in both court systems, having handled many significant and complex cases on appeal and in Superior Court. She is so highly regarded that she taught civil litigation at the law school. One of her cases even was heard by the United States Supreme Court, an honor few attorneys enjoy.

Her opponent has zero experience in the appellate courts and very limited experience in Superior Court cases.

This election is not a partisan race, despite her opponent’s efforts to make it one. This race is about selecting the best judge. The choice is easy.

Lauri came to the court with a reputation as an outstanding advocate; now we know she is an equally outstanding colleague. I urge everyone to vote for a high-quality judiciary by supporting Lauri in this election.
