Judicial restraint wanted

Generally, the quietest elections are those for the position of judge, which is tragic. Placed in the wrong hands, this position has the ability to hand down rulings which create laws, rights and restrictions that are not clearly present in the law as written. We need judges who will follow the original intent of the Constitution, not dictate their own agenda.

Washington Court of Appeals, Division III, District 1 has two qualified candidates running for it, but one of them has lingering questions remaining about their involvement with the River Park Square parking garage debacle that cost Spokane millions as well as being a former board member of the American Civil Liberties Union.

On the other hand, I know Harvey Dunham to believe in private property and Second Amendment rights, limited government and has great integrity. He is a retired veteran, has served as District Court judge for two years, pro tem judge for seven and has the endorsement of many of our current area elected officials and candidates. Please join me in electing Harvey Dunham.
