Vote to restore funding

When I heard Andy Billig speak, it was quite clear that education is one of the issues he is most passionate about. He is the father of a fifth-grader at Roosevelt and is a strong supporter of our public school system. I attended public school from kindergarten to high school and have seen our challenges firsthand.

I agree with Andy when he says the schools in our community are good, but they can be better. In school I constantly struggled with large disorganized class sizes and I fully support Andy’s plan to restore funding for small class sizes. He is also committed to finding solutions for Spokane’s high dropout rate. It is disappointing that there is no one from Spokane on the House or Senate Education Committee, and Andy has committed to making that his first request for committee assignment.

He has been endorsed by the League of Education Voters, Stand for Children and the Washington Education Association. Please join me in voting for the education candidate, Andy Billig.
