Eags hold first workout on red turf

Eastern Washington practiced on the new red artificial turn in soon-to-be-renamed Woodward Field on Friday, and The Spokesman-Review will run a story on the reactions of players and coaches — complete with photographs, the Eagles’ two-deep roster and the 2009 schedule — as the sports section’s centerpiece in Sunday morning’s editions.
