Seeking relief from drug pitches

Ask your doctor! Talk to your doctor! Call your doctor!

These phrases haunt the airways like the plague and can be just as deadly when you hear the side effects of these cure-all wonder drugs.

I don’t tell my doctor anything except my symptoms. I have enough confidence in him to let him diagnose and treat me with his skills without the benefit of some commercial I’m forced to listen to if I want to watch my favorite news or current events program. As they seem to target this type of senior programming, knowing seniors want to know what’s going on in the world. These flagrant commercials come one after the other as many as five or six in a row.

Just think, that billions spent on advertising could be saved if they left it up to the doctor and their pharmaceutical representatives and left us alone.

I will leave them with this thought. You ask the doctor, and pass the savings on to us. Our peace of mind and pocketbooks would both flourish.
