Snow woes? Just chill

It is winter in the Pacific Northwest, people! Quit complaining and enjoy it!

Instead of growling about it, get outside and help someone who needs help. Pick up some groceries for someone who cannot get out. Help someone with their shoveling — yes, we all get to shovel — so meet your neighbors in the process.

Be thankful for those who have to work outside all day — they are the people bringing you mail, newspapers, power, cleared roads when they can, food for those who cannot get out, and on and on and on.

And when August comes and it is very hot and dry outside — and people will complain about that too — be thankful there will be water in our rivers from snow that fell in the winter. We are all in this together.
