UW runs over WSU in Apple Cup

Washington State had its chances to end the season on a two-game winning streak, but UW had more – and took advantage of them. We have some thoughts and stories on the link, so read on.

• Let’s start with a link to my game story , which should get you started. … As for the rest of the game, I’m not sure many of you missed it. The Cougars started as if they had taken the last couple weeks off, oh right, they did, made some big defensive stops that helped keep them in the game, then rode a hot Jeff Tuel in the fourth quarter to pull into a tie at 28. But they left Jake Locker and Chris Polk too much time. … And then Locker left WSU just 44 seconds, which only took about an hour to play – thanks a bunch Jack Wood and crew. …
