Fountain splashes, clashes

A few short years ago I can remember being excited about the news of getting a new fountain in Riverfront Park. I was a little disappointed to hear the price was $1.8 million, though. But a pretty fountain would be nice.

What we got is more like a splash pad on steroids that looks like a train wreck.

We have an antique wooden carrousel; we should have a traditional looking fountain.

How much to tear that thing out of there and put in a fountain that complements our beautiful park?
