Racisim’s obit premature

The Spokesman-Review

Please let me apologize for the letter From Mr. Jarrod Womack in your Letters section on Feb 13. I recently switched from receiving home delivery of the Coeur d’Alene Press to The Spokesman-Review in order to distance myself from that kind of rhetoric, but, alas, it has once again reared its ugly head here.

I would wonder exactly what a middle-class white guy, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, would know about being a black man living in the U.S. today. Having moved to Coeur d’Alene from Sandpoint almost two years ago, I would say that racism is alive and well here, and letters like that prove it.
