Detective’s comments ‘crass’

The Spokesman-Review

Vicky and Gene Littell deserve closure in the death of their daughter, Susette Werner. The comment by police Detective Tim Madsen regarding the tips received was both thoughtless and crass (“The standard tip is about an individual named Elbow and a female named Honey. Neither one of those two were involved.”).

Our law enforcement officers have a responsibility to investigate crimes, not offer personal commentaries.
