Good morning. I hope your hangover from New Year’s Eve has passed, and by that I don’t mean the kind many people get from over-imbibing, but the one from the Oregon game. After all, that’s the past. And in the Pac-10, if you get caught looking over your shoulder, the team in front of you is going to run you over. That’s Oregon State today. We have links. Read on.

Here are some more thoughts on the technical, courtesy of CougCenter . … The Cougar women opened Pac-10 play last night and struggled in the second half. … Though this is Bob Clark of the Register-Guard’s advance of the Ducks’ contest with UW today, there is a lot on Thursday’s game.

• Around the Pac-10: Everyone is back in action today, headlined by Arizona at UCLA on CBS this morning – in the Southwest. Everyone else, including those of us in the Northwest, get Gonzaga vs. Illinois. Anyhow, the Bruins and Wildcats aren’t what they used to be . They are both struggling the pitfalls of youth. … The Huskies and the Ducks should fill it up today. … Cal and Stanford open Pac-10 play with their rivalry game . … Back to LA, where USC will try to overpower Arizona State, which got a big lift from freshman Demetrius Walker on Thursday night. … OK, can’t ignore it any longer. Oregon’s football team got overpryored in the Rose Bowl, and on, I didn’t misspell overpowered. I was just trying to bring a little levity to a sad situation. The Ducks didn’t play very well and either did the Pac-10 this bowl season .
