New Year, Same OpenCDA Attacks

MamaJD: This seems to be a three pronged approach to criticize the City and the downtown area, the city police and the city administration. While a businessman is in jail and a kid is fighting for his life, the OpenCDA crowd is more concerned about apostrophe placement and how Mike Kennedy would benefit from illegal influence in an ongoing police investigation. This group disgusts me at the way they try to manipulate and manufacture political conspiracy by exploiting a tragedy like a shooting. The ones who benefit are the ones who are trying to hide their connections as they attempt to politicize this situation. Full MamaJD post below.

• Meanwhile, Mary & Bill at OpenCDA are up to their latest conspiracy theory nonsense in trying to connect the Adam Johnson shooting in some way to Mike Kennedy here .

Question: Do you consider OpenCDA.com to be a credible information/opinion source in the local blogosphere?

I’m bothered by how quickly Dan Gookin, Bill McCrory, and Mary Souza have been to politicize a tragedy like this for personal gain in furthering their political agendas:

1) Mr. Gookin, who was absent from OpenCDA during the election, reappears after the shooting to critique Sgt. Christie Woods’ apostrophe placement in the press release. He also complains that she was TOO QUICK in providing the press release at 5:42 in the morning on a holiday weekend. He maintains she should have waited for proof reading and grammar checking. 2) Mr. Gookin also criticized the City of Coeur d’Alene in the CdA Press following this tragedy by stating, ” The message here is clear: If you’re a person who does not want to get beat up by out-of-towners, just stay clear from downtown Coeur d’Alene. 3) Bill McCrory insinuates that the city PD is involved in corruption by the line of his theorized questions in Bent’s link above. He also has been heavily critical of Sgt. Christie Woods and states that she is lacking in skills as he refers her to classes at NIC. (See http://opencda.com/?p=4790#comments )

4) Mary offers the usual “connect the dots” scenario but fails to mention that she is also connected to Adam Johnson. Mr. Johnson and Convertec offered more than just website design services to Jim Brannon and Steve Adams’ campaigns. He also assisted in the campaigns by providing phone lines and a conference room for a Nov.2 telephone campaign before the election. Mary was present on that Nov. 2nd calling campaign.

Those that lose are the good people whose reputations have been tarnished by wild accusations and those good people who have been misguided and manipulated by people like Mary and Bill.
