The residents of Aviaryland held a vote to see which bird would get the biggest piece of bread. Mike Kennegull beat Jim Birdman by 5 seeds. Bird law provides a right to recount. Egged on by Birdman’s friends Bill Macaw, Mary Cockatoo, and Lory Spencer, Jim decided to fight instead of accepting a recount.

Jim birdman’s friends offered their words of support:
“Kennegull got Jim fired from his job at habitat for Hyacinths.”
“Birds that flew south for winter voted. They should be allowed to do that now that they’ve nested elsewhere.”
“This is nothing but Chicago style birdcalls.”
“We know the truth behind the Alka-Seltzer incident. Kennegull hired that flock from Moses Lake to come here and stir up trouble knowing that Albatross Johnson would feed them Alka-Seltzer – sending two critically injured birds to the veterinarian.”
“Even though Judge Pigeon denied our temporary restraining order, we know his ruling makes our case stronger.”
“We’re not a parrot chamber – we stand up against injustice and aviary corruption.”

Kennegull’s lawyer is asking Birdman’s case to be dismissed with prejudice. Birdman’s attorney, Starr Cardinal, could not be reached for comment.
