HNoon: Protecting-Our-Rights Wars?
A
received a very good suggestion for a High Noon question from a Merry Huckster: Let’s see if I can phrase it correctly. Which wars involving the death and injury of American soldiers were fought for reasons that directly affected our every day constitutional rights — our everyday get-up-in-the-morning-go-to-work rights? The Huckster didn’t think Vietnam met this criterion, stating “win or lose, our rights, constitutional that is, weren’t threatened.” However, he definitely felt the Revolutionary War fit the bill. Then, there’s Iraq, Afghanistan, Spanish-American, Korea, the WWs, etc.
Question: Anyone?
