Kage: Surviving The Local Bar Scene
Kage Mann:
(The downtown Coeur d’Alene clubs) were almost all white when I was in the bar scene back in the
80’s and early 90’s. Back in the 80’s the kids would come from
Wash.over to the
bars in the CDA area, because the drinking age in
Idaho was 19, so they could come over and drink legally. I used to
hangout at Peabody’s, Cotton Club, Chiller’s, Atrium; those bars that
played some great rock music. I don’t recall very many fights among the
locals and the out of town crowd and if there was a fight, the locals
would quickly gain the upper hand anyway. Sometimes I miss the ole days, but then I’m reminded of the foibles
of my youth and am glad that I survived the madness back then. The
tales I could tell. ;-)
Question: Which local watering hole was/is your favorite? Why?
