Quest for power

The Spokesman-Review

Mr. James Lanham’s letter, “GOP priorities distorted” (Dec. 31), stated the Republicans have become vicious in their quest for raw power.

Has Mr. Lanham been living in a cave the past year? Does our Constitution allow the president to take ownership of a private company, fire the CEO and give a large share of the company to his corrupt union? Does our Constitution allow Speaker Nancy Pelosi to jail citizens for not purchasing medical insurance?

The past year we have witnessed Obama, his Chicago thugs, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and Pelosi become vicious in their quest for raw power.

Lanham stated, “I am retired military, so perhaps someone can help me understand?”

He being an irrational liberal, I’m afraid he is beyond help.

Why did you decide to make the military your career while you believed our country spends hundreds of billions of dollars to kill and maim innocents around the world?

The reason you do not understand your last sentence, “I don’t understand why the ‘Tea Baggers’ are so willing to bully themselves into serfdom,” is because they are independent thinkers and believers. They are Republicans, Democrats and Libertarians.
