Big Mac: Regret Not Same As Apology

Big Mac: Regret is not the same as an apology, and Gookin even qualifies his regret by writing that the name calling took place “years ago,” as if the mere passage of time erases any consequence. Rather than respond as a man would, candidly admitting his mistake and asking forgiveness, Gookin continues his whiny evasion. Weak.

Question: Big Mac brings up something that I’ve wondered about. Forget Gookin for a moment. And let’s discuss apologies by politicians caught in a controversy — Harry Reid, for example. Is there any apology by any politician that you’d consider sincere?
