High Noon: Out Of Gas

Here’s the background for today’s High Noon question: At 10:41 a.m. today, Scanner Traffic reported that a tan Pathfinder had run out of gas on U.S. Highway 95 near the Cougar Gulch Bridge. The driver was waiting for a wrecker to bring her gasoline. I can’t remember the last time my wife or I ran out of gas. If ever. However, we’ve been broken down a time or two, including last winter when the one of the new studs on the 4Runner went flat near Davis Donuts as my wife bounced over the pock-marked snowy streets.

Question: When and why did you last need a wrecker to assist you because your vehicle had broken down? And/or: Have you ever run out of gas?
