P&Z Chair: Pick Up Comp Plan Pace
I have spoken to Commissioner Tondee and he is frustrated by the pace of the deliberations. I
have e-mailed the other two commissioners but have not heard back from them. What could be the reason for dragging out these deliberations and the ensuing adoption of new development regulations? I have my own theories, but I will leave the speculation up to you. Rather, I would ask the Commissioners to make the plan a priority and pick up the snail pace. The citizens of the this county do not want the Comp Plan to wind up on a shelf collecting dust like the plan from 1994. They expect, and deserve more from their Commissioners. The more difficult job of adopting new development regulations which will implement the Comprehensive Plan still looms ahead/Chairman

Question: Are Kootenai County commissioners taking the need to upgrade the comprehensive plan seriously enough?
