Congressional pay needs lid

The Spokesman-Review

They did it again. The big boys in the White House denied a Social Security cost-of-living increase, then, of course, as everyone knew they would, gave themselves some $3,500 and others $4,500 to top off their already outrageous salaries. And they didn’t need approval. They are above the law.

Still, Medicare premiums keep going up and up, along with everything else. People are still asking, what can we do? And that’s that.

We need to write to our congressmen and tell them to put a cap on these increases and their health care reform stinks. What’s going to happen is unless you have thousands to go to any doctor, many will not accept Medicare or Medicaid. People, speak up or this will continue to happen.
