Socialist plan awaited

The Spokesman-Review

I just read Mr. Brookbank Jr.’s letter (Jan. 12) and was duly impressed. Way to go, David! Socialism is a system based on shared or government ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods (dictionary definition). Mr. Obama seems to be heading in that direction, hence the label.

Perhaps Mr. Brookbank has found a legal way to take from the rich and give to the poor. Does it involve penalizing people like Bill Gates, who invented products which earned them billions of dollars?

I have lived on this planet for 90 years and had trouble learning to tie my shoelaces. Because of my lack of ability to build a better mousetrap, these people owe me compensation. I look forward to his plan.
